Before: bring your questions
No special preparation is required. Come with what is on your mind: the decision you cannot make, the relationship you cannot read, the pattern that keeps repeating, the question about timing or direction. Some people bring one burning question; others bring a list. Both are welcome. If you have chosen a live session, find a quiet, private place where you can speak freely for the duration — consultations are conducted by phone or video.
During: Dàfá and the Odù
The session opens with your situation, in your own words. Dr. Oba — who brings 25+ years of Ifá practice to every consultation as the Oludasile (founder) of Ilé Àálá Temple in West Palm Beach, Florida — then performs Dàfá (traditional Ifá divination): the casting of Ifá to reveal the Odù, the sacred sign governing your question. He interprets the Odù with you, not at you — its counsel on timing, obstacles, relationships, and the forces shaping your life right now — with room for your questions throughout. Nothing is rushed.
During: counsel and ẹbọ
As the interpretation unfolds, Dr. Oba discusses what Ifá counsels: what supports you, what stands against you, what the timing indicates. Where the Odù prescribes ẹbọ (remedies or offerings), it is discussed openly — what is recommended, why, and what it involves, including any separate cost. The discussion belongs to the consultation; performing any work or providing materials is separate, fully explained, and always your decision.
After: your recording, your decision
Live sessions include a recording for your private review — many clients return to it weeks later and hear counsel they missed the first time. After the session, you sit with what Ifá said. There is no pressure to decide anything on the spot, and no obligation attached to the counsel. What you do next is yours.
