Houston holds one of the largest Yoruba diaspora communities in America. In the Third Ward and Alief, in Missouri City and Katy, Nigerian families have built lives around energy-industry careers, medical centers, and universities — carrying their language, their food, and their traditions with them. For many, Ifá is not a discovery but a homecoming: the divination tradition their grandparents knew, now sought with the seriousness of an adult who understands what is at stake.
Dr. Oba Ifágbèmì offers private Ifá consultation to Houston seekers by phone or video. With 25+ years of Ifá practice, he is the Oludasile (founder) of Ilé Àálá Temple in West Palm Beach, Florida, and consults with clients across the United States and around the world.
Whether you grew up hearing the names of the Orisa or are coming to the tradition for the first time, the consultation meets you where you are. It is conducted through Dàfá (traditional Ifá divination): Ifá is cast, the Odù — the sacred sign addressing your question — is revealed, and Dr. Oba interprets its message with you carefully and completely, in language you can act on.
What your consultation includes
Your private 75-minute consultation ($145) is conducted personally by Dr. Oba. The session includes:
A live consultation by phone or video, at a time that fits your schedule
Dàfá divination and full interpretation of the Odù in clear, practical language
Time for your questions throughout — nothing rushed
Discussion of recommended next steps and any prescribed ẹbọ
A recording for your private review
Any additional spiritual work, materials, or ceremonies are explained and priced separately. You consider the recommendations before deciding whether to proceed.
What happens during the consultation
The session begins with your situation — the promotion you are weighing, the marriage under strain, the business decision with real money behind it, the child whose path worries you, the sense that something in the family line needs addressing. Dr. Oba performs Dàfá and walks through the Odù's counsel with you: timing, obstacles, openings, and any prescribed ẹbọ. The discussion of remedies belongs to the consultation; performing them is separate, explained in full, and entirely your choice.
Other formats
A recorded 45-minute consultation ($95), five written Yes/No questions ($85), and an Ifá + Numerology session ($160) are also available. Full details appear on the consultation page.
